Did you know that there is a fun celebration called Summerween? It’s that whimsical time of year when stores begin to stock up on Halloween decorations, costumes, and all sorts of spooky trinkets much earlier than you might expect. In fact, this peculiar tradition has already been happening for a month now! With that in mind, it’s definitely not too early to start getting excited about indulging in a marathon of horror movies. This is the perfect way to prepare yourself mentally for the spookiest holiday of the year, Halloween.
Peacock has recently revealed its impressive lineup of chilling movies that will be available for streaming on the platform starting next month. This collection is filled with beloved classics, including the entire Saw franchise, a selection of the iconic Halloween films, and, of course, the cult favorite Leprechaun 4: Lost in Space. These films are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit and provide plenty of thrills and chills.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at just movies; Peacock is also introducing a couple of new original series that will help set the mood for the season. One of these series, Teacup, premieres on October 10 and is produced by the renowned filmmaker James Wan. It tells the gripping story of a group of rural Georgians who find themselves being terrorized by an unknown and sinister force. Another series, Hysteria!, debuts on October 18 and revolves around a heavy metal band made up of high school students in the 1980s. They cleverly use the “Satanic Panic” of that era to enhance their image, but things take a dark turn when people start turning up dead.
Get ready for a thrilling Halloween season with Peacock’s exciting offerings!
